Genie is where Partridge Door Company started. We opened in November 1979 as Partridge Door Opener Service. Within weeks, Alliance Manufacturing, then the maker of Genie openers, named us an original Genie Authorized Installing and Servicing Dealer. More than four decades later, we’re still installing and servicing Genie openers across central Mississippi.
Why we’ve recommended Genie for decades
The original Genie openers used a screw drive: a threaded steel rod moves the door, with no chain and far fewer gears, belts and pulleys than other designs. Fewer moving parts means fewer things to wear out. That reliability is a big reason we’ve recommended Genie since 1979.

Genie opener FAQ
Are Genie and LiftMaster remotes compatible?
Not directly. Genie and LiftMaster use different radio systems, so a Genie remote won’t program to a LiftMaster opener, and the reverse is also true. Some universal remotes and car systems can work with both. We supply and program remotes for Genie and LiftMaster openers.
What is a screw drive garage door opener?
A screw drive opener moves the door with a threaded steel rod that turns inside the rail. It has fewer moving parts than chain or belt drives, which is why Genie’s screw drive openers have a reputation for reliability.
What is Aladdin Connect?
Aladdin Connect is Genie’s smart garage system. It lets you open, close and monitor your garage door from your phone. Many current Genie openers have it built in.
