Why choose the Amarr Heritage Carriage House

Busy households are hard on garage doors. Heritage Carriage House uses heavier 24-gauge steel than value doors, so the face is more resistant to dents while still giving you the bead-board or recessed carriage look. You can keep it simple with a single-layer door or step up to 2″ polystyrene insulation.

  • Heavy-duty 24-gauge steel skin
  • Three stamped carriage designs: Bead Board, Long Bead Board and Recessed
  • Single-, double- or triple-layer, insulated R-values 6.64 to 9.05
  • Five DecraGlass and ten DecraTrim window designs plus decorative hardware

Design options: designs, colors and glass

Eleven factory colors, including Walnut and Mahogany woodtones, plus Amarr Color Zone. Top-section windows come in clear, obscure, frost or dark tint, with decorative inserts such as Stockton, Prairie, Cascade and Waterford.

  • ClearFull view and the most daylight.
  • ObscureTextured glass that blurs shapes; light in, details hidden.
  • FrostA soft, even white haze. Daylight in, privacy kept.
  • Dark TintDarker glass that cuts glare; sleek and more private by day.

Construction, insulation and specs

The single-layer version is plain steel. Double- and triple-layer versions add 2″ polystyrene, R-6.64 to 9.05. All use the 5-layer paint system, and WindPro is available. See how door insulation works on our insulated garage doors page.

Where it fits best

Family homes with kids and a lot of driveway activity, and anyone who wants a carriage look with a sturdier face than a value door.

Warranty

Manufacturer: Lifetime paint finish warranty; workmanship/hardware is 3, 5 or lifetime years for single-, double- and triple-layer models, per Amarr. Partridge Door: we add a 1-year warranty on the products we sell and the installation work we do, and Amarr’s coverage continues after that. Ask us for the full warranty document for your exact model.

Amarr Heritage Carriage House FAQ

Why does steel gauge matter?

A lower gauge number means thicker steel. The 24-gauge skin on Heritage Carriage House resists dents better than the 25- or 27-gauge skins on value doors.

Is Heritage Carriage House insulated?

It can be. The double- and triple-layer models use 2″ polystyrene for R-values of 6.64 to 9.05.

What's the difference from the regular Heritage collection?

Same heavy steel and construction. Heritage Carriage House uses carriage designs, while Heritage uses raised-panel and modern designs.

Can I add carriage handles and hinges?

Yes. Amarr’s decorative hardware sets are available, and we install them with the door.
