Why choose the Amarr Hillcrest

Hillcrest is where most of our carriage house customers start. It gets you the bead-board or recessed carriage look in durable steel at a price close to a standard raised-panel door. Use it uninsulated on a detached garage, or add polystyrene if the garage is attached.

Twelve factory colors plus Amarr Color Zone. Long-panel windows can be plain glass or decorative designs such as Stockton, Cathedral, Sunray, Thames or the DecraGlass Trellis and Jardin, in clear, obscure, frost or dark tint.

Construction, insulation and specs

Where it fits best

Starter homes, rentals, detached garages and budget-minded remodels where curb appeal matters. Common in Clinton, Byram and Pearl subdivisions.

Warranty

Manufacturer: Paint finish warranty is 15 years, 25 years or lifetime and workmanship/hardware is 1 to 3 years, depending on the construction you choose (per Amarr). Partridge Door: we add a 1-year warranty on the products we sell and the installation work we do, and Amarr’s coverage continues after that. Ask us for the full warranty document for your exact model.

Is Hillcrest a good door for the money?

Yes. It’s Amarr’s value carriage house line, so you get the carriage look in low-maintenance steel without paying for premium insulation you may not need.

Should I get Hillcrest insulated?

If the garage is attached, has a room above it or is air-conditioned, insulation is worth it. For a detached storage garage, single-layer is often enough.

How does the warranty vary?

Amarr’s paint and workmanship coverage increases with construction: single-layer has the shortest terms and triple-layer the longest. We’ll go over the exact terms for your model.

Can I upgrade to Hillcrest from my old raised-panel door without changing the opening?

Usually yes. We measure the opening, headroom and side room and install the new door on new tracks and springs sized for it.
