Olympus looks like a familiar raised-panel or flush door from the street. The difference is inside: every Olympus is triple-layer with polyurethane, with published R-values up to 19.40. It’s the door we suggest when the garage is a workshop, a gym or a laundry room, or when it sits under a bedroom.

Design options: designs, colors and glass

Eight factory colors, including Walnut and Mahogany, plus Amarr Color Zone. Windows include short- or long-panel glass, DecraTrim and DecraGlass designs, and Mosaic placement. Glass comes in clear, obscure, frost or dark tint.

Construction, insulation and specs

Warranty

Manufacturer: Lifetime paint finish warranty; workmanship/hardware is 5 years on the 1-3/8″ model and lifetime on the 2″ model, per Amarr. Partridge Door: we add a 1-year warranty on the products we sell and the installation work we do, and Amarr’s coverage continues after that. Is Olympus worth it over a standard door?

If the garage is attached or used as living space, yes. Its polyurethane core insulates far better than single-layer or polystyrene doors and runs more quietly.

Polyurethane or polystyrene insulation: what's the difference?

Polystyrene is a rigid board placed in the section. Polyurethane is foamed in and bonds to both steel skins, so it insulates better per inch and makes the door stiffer.

Does Olympus come in a modern style?

Yes. The Flush and Long Recessed designs and Mosaic Window layouts give it a contemporary look.

Will an insulated door need a bigger opener?

Not usually, because the springs are sized to balance the door’s weight. We check the opener and springs on every install.
